Mr. Fares Korkmaz, holds an Electronics Engineering degree
from the "Ecole Superieure d’Ingenieurs de Beyrouth" ESIB - St.
Joseph University. Upon graduation in June 1974, he worked for
three years as Production and Resident Manager in charge of
manufacturing and installing electronic equipment for traffic
control in Lebanon, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Then, he attended
the INSEAD MBA program in Fontainebleau - France where he
graduated in June 78 with Distinction focusing on Corporate
Finance, Strategic Planning and Organization Development.
Directly after INSEAD, he joined Indevco, a large and diversified
industrial group, where he held various executive positions
throughout more than 17 years of employment. His professional
experience encompasses work assignments in Project
Management and Business Development, fully responsible of
initiating and implementing turn-key industrial facilities in
Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and USA. Moreover, he served as
President of the Group’s industrial operations in the US for about
6 years residing in Washington, D.C. Subsequently, he was
appointed Executive Director at Indevco’s head offices in
Lebanon.

In addition to a highly successful and hands-on operating
experience in managing projects and industrial ventures for
almost 20 years, Mr. Korkmaz possesses a solid exposure to a
wide variety of business environments ranging from the Middle
East to the USA, Brazil and Europe. Throughout his career, he
developed particular skills in operations’ turnaround, new
ventures creation and implementation, organization development
and restructuring as well as process optimization and
re-engineering. Moreover, he prepared and lectured in many
in-house seminars within the Indevco Group on topics such as
Company Culture, Turnaround Process, Operations Improvement
Techniques, Strategic Planning and Market Power. Furthermore
and for a brief period of time, he taught International Finance at
the Masters Degree Program, management faculty - USJ.

In July 96, he founded CIR, a management consulting and
investment services firm catering to a select Clientele in Lebanon
and the Middle East. Mr. Korkmaz is CIR’s main principal and its
Managing Director.

Finally, Mr. Korkmaz is a member of the Lebanese Association
of Engineers and a listed member in the Sterling Edition of the
WHO’S WHO Worldwide Registry.

On a personal note, Mr. Korkmaz is a Lebanese citizen, born in
June 1951 and fluent in Arabic, English and French.
